The Story behind Our story
safe and sustainable
We aim to end chemical pollution in consumer products
by replacing harmful petro-based ingredients
RE:CHEMISTRY / RiːˈKɛmɪstri / Ree-KEM-ih-stri /
For hundreds of years humanity has been using
fossil-fuel chemicals. They help us make plastics,
paints, shampoos. All the things we use every day.
Everyday things that are incredibly damaging to people and the planet. So what do we do? We can’t turn back. People can’t be expected to stop washing their hair and cleaning their homes.
But neither can we carry on down the same path.
We need to find a new way forward.
We need to RE:imagine
Shampoos without harmful ingredients.
A world not dependent on fossil fuels.
Everyday products that are no longer toxic.
That’s what we do every day.
RE:engineering products with plant-based solutions.
RE:thinking the future to be safer and more sustainable.
RE:imagining everything.
We are a movement formed in 2013
to end chemical pollution.
We are RE:CHEMISTRY
- 2013
FOUNDATION
GFBiochemicals was created by Mathieu Flamini, a professional football player for 18 years (Olympique de Marseille, Arsenal F.C, AC Milan), and Pasquale Granata, with a mission to bring levulinic acid and its derivatives to the market.
There is a huge opportunity to transform the legacy chemicals industry and shift society away from its reliance on petrochemicals.
